What is a ZWDS Chart?

Over the years, I’ve often been asked by students: How far can we stretch the use of a ZWDS chart? Can it measure something beyond human destiny, and so on?

My answer is always simple: What is a ZWDS chart? At its core, it’s a measuring tool—just like a smartwatch, a weighing scale, or a blood pressure monitor. A ZWDS chart was designed solely for one purpose: to “measure” one’s destiny. What’s remarkable about this tool is that it doesn’t require the reader to “predict” anything. All the information is already present, captured at the time of birth.

In our teachings, we emphasize the essence of the “connection” concept, which reveals the true purpose of what the ZWDS chart is trying to convey.

That said, even using the chart as a tool to measure destiny isn’t without its challenges. Interpretation hurdles are plenty: distinguishing between Qi (气)/Impressions (象)/Events (数); Understanding how the same event can resonate differently for different individuals or even for the same individual in different timeframes; And, of course, the role of the reader’s own experience in decoding the chart.

With all this in mind, here’s a thought to ponder: Would you use a weighing scale to measure the acidity of water in the Atlantic Ocean?
